On Screen - Xbox & Esports

I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember. I've given talks on the value of esports and continued to watch, play, and enjoy games; though I'm not quite good enough to be a true pro, I do my best. I enjoy sitting back on my couch with a controller, but RTS games with a mouse and keyboard have a special place in my heart.

I love live esports events and viewing professional players on Twitch and YouTube. Some of the most fun days out I’ve had are at live Overwatch League events, both in Burbank and in Dallas.

Overwatch is also the game that inspired me to jump into vibe coding. I created a fully featured, AI-enabled match tracker and stat's evaluation called Osiris.

It runs online and offline, and has a fully-funcitoning landing page! Check it out!

I’ve also dedicated years of my gaming life to Bungie’s Destiny’s universe. My clan, The MIDA Multifools, even boasts top gaming executives in it, and we were incredibly active at one point. My wife and I have a commissioned portrait of our Guardians hung in our entryway. As a game that I feel I need to dedicate a lot of time to, I’m currently “on sabbatical” (I peek in now and then) from Destiny as my wife and I now have a small third member of our own personal fireteam who takes up more time than Destiny!

I’ve been assembling, painting, and playing Warhammer 40,000 miniatures since the mid-90s. I don’t get to play as many games as I’d like, but I find the hobby cathartic. I’ve enjoyed the game enough to have my name featured at the front of the 4th Edition Tau Empire Codex as a “Special Thanks” and I’m proud of making my permanent mark on the hobby.
